Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI)

Herbicide resistance management in cereal cropping systems

Dr Michael Walsh, AHRI, University of Western Australia

The Australian experience with herbicide resistant weeds in dryland cereal cropping has fed an innovative culture of weed management.

Dr Walsh shows how herbicide resistance developed in Australia and outlines the latest research comparing Australian methods of harvest weed seed capture, including pivotal research leading to the commercialisation of the famous Harrington Seed Destructor. He works with the Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI).
